THE MOST IMPORTANT

Control the volume and quality of information consumption.

N.B.
Set a time for watching the news. The morning immediately after waking up is NOT suitable. The time before falling asleep is NOT suitable either.

Open a VERIFIED news source. Set a timer for 5 or 10 minutes. Read/watch exactly on the timer. Close with discipline. Do something from the list. Live on.
Further
Leaders, bosses and heads of everything. Take control of your anxiety. Your team needs your support. It is you who should ask them how they feel, and they should not ask you after your next uncontrolled behaviour.
Last thing
Before talking to the person about the news and the current situation (unloading your anxiety onto someone), ask if the person is ready and willing to talk about the topic. Ask if the OTHER has room inside for what you can't handle.
Clue
Many have run out of space and there is no way to place/recycle yours. Politely look further. Someone will definitely respond and contain you.
